Players assume the role of an amateur typist who must travel through various courses where they encounter Pokémon who are captured by correctly typing their names as they appear. As a member of the Elite Typists' Club under the guidance of Professor Quentin Werty and fellow member Paige Down they must investigate and collect the game's 403 different Pokémon creatures, some of which being bosses at the end of certain levels.
