STORY

This is much more than a simple graphics hack to add snow. This game takes place the same year as GSC, just later in the year. It assumes that the events of GSC (the radio tower take over, the sick Pokémon at the lighthouse, all that stuff) took place that summer, so the major events will be different and more holiday themed. Since this is part of what I'm calling the "Johto Legacy", I will also include a few references to things that happened in "Pokémon Secrets and Rumours" and things that will happen in "Pokémon Spirits and Legends".

WHATS NEW

- Ability to play as a Boy or a Girl player, chosen in the intro
- Kris as the player's main friendly rival
- Hiro or Mei (Whichever player you didn't choose) as an additional rival
- Major events changed to new and/ or holiday themed ones
- New tilesets to give it a snowy winter feel, as well as a "Gen II-and- a-half" feel
- Map updates to be more in line with Heart Gold's map designs, but not exactly identical
- Physical/Special Split added, like the newer games have
- New Pokémon added (NO FAKEMON. See list below.)
- New moves. Flame Ball is a new "Special" Fire-Type move to melt ice blocks, and there are a couple moves from newer gens as well.
- New items (Key Items, Regular Items, etc.)
- Ice sliding on frozen lakes, not just in Ice Path
- A few references to my other hacks you might catch (including hints at the prequel)
- New locations, including: South Isle, Battle Tower, Ecruteak Shinto Shrine, Dragon Shrine, and more
- Restored Kanto locations, including: Viridian Forest, Pewter Museum, and more
- Some wild Pokémon location changes, some are the same
- Trainers sprites and rosters updated
- All Gym Leaders have additional Pokémon, and all of Kanto's gyms are higher levels
- Lots of events have been redone, removed, added, etc.
- Some trainer classes have been changed
- There have been changes to the Elite Four
- Viridian has a different leader
- New Game Corner prizes (Johto and Kanto)
- Additional Prize Exchanges added at the Battle Tower
- Practice Battle Machines added for the Battle Tower. (They are like the ones in the old Sterling Silver, but improved)
- Move Tutors, who will teach your Pokémon a new move in exchange for a Heart Scale
- A version of the "Trendy Phrase" which can be used to unlock certain things, or just to amuse yourself

INTRODUCTION

Pokémon: Platinum Origins is a demake of Pokémon Platinum from the NDS to the GBA. The story will follow a similar pattern to the original with extra additions and changes here and there. Due to the nature of some things in Platinum that might not be possible on the GBA to their full extent, there will be some substitutes.

Pokémon Platinum has a large set of features, and the plan is to try as hard as possible to have them all implemented in some way shape or form. There will be some substitutes though here and there, at least in the early days.

~All 493 Pokémon~
The plan is to have all 493 Pokémon included and catchable in the game, including the Pokédex, moves, items and anything else that was added to Generation 4 Pokémon games.

~Updated Graphics & Maps~
The maps of Platinum have been re-created in a new style, similar to Pokémon: Liquid Crystal. This gives every aspect of the game a fresh new feeling while exploring.

~NDS Music Remixes on GBA~
Thanks to new developments in GBA music hacking, we can now use the exact same instruments that are used in GBA games, resulting in identical sounding music with no loss of quality!

~Many Other Features!~
The above features are the main changes, but there’s many more such as…
*Raised levels for Increased Difficulty
*New Movesets for Rivals and Gyms
*New wild Pokémon sets for areas
*Obtain all 493 Pokémon
*Additional Rivals and story events to tied into LC
*Much much more!

Since it’s still early days more features will be added to this list as development progresses.

DOWNLOAD

The current version is Alpha 1, which has little progress and goes up to around the first Gym, though things start to get iffy beyond Jublife City. Many houses and scripts are missing throughout, so if you find a missing script this is most likely not a bug but normal behaviour. This is mostly just a proof of concept of what to expect in the future, with many things not currently implemented.

Well, what's new with this Ruby hack?
Lots of things. There are over 70 new Gen 4, 5, and 6 Pokemon in the game (and maybe more on the way). There is a new rival as well as all new Gym Leaders and Elite 4. Of course there are also new encounters, new maps, new sprites, trades, gift Pokemon, events, trainers, funny text, etc.
This is meant to be a new, fun, yet moderately challenging experience.

There aren't many changes to BSTs, and these are mostly just to balance out Pokemon that are hurt by the lack of a physical/special split.
Shinx, Luxio, and Luxray all have -10 in Attack and +10 to Special Attack.
Scraggy now has -5 in Defense and Special Defense but +10 in Special Attack
Scrafty now has -15 in Defense and Special Defense but +35 in Special Attack
Pangoro now has +5 to Special Attack
Trevenant now has +10 to Special Attack
There aren't many changes to types either.

Furthermore, all Pokemon that evolve via stone will learn moves at the same (or a similar) pace to its pre-evolved form, so there's no real penalty for using an evolutionary stone early. Like, some Pokemon won't learn all the moves that their pre-evolved forms can, but they might still learn the important/good moves at a similar pace. In almost all cases, it's best to evolve Pokemon as soon as possible.

Changes to gifts/trades/interactions

Gifts:
A familiar face in Fallarbor will offer you one of my favorite Pokemon lines
The Pokemon Egg in Lavaridge now hatches into a Pokemon that can do many more things than Wynaut ever could
At the weather institute, you get a new Pokemon that has an affinity with weather
The fossil Pokemon you choose will come at a higher level

Trades:
The kid in Rustboro will still want a Slakoth, but you'll get a very different Fighting-Type Pokemon in return
The basketball fan in Fortree will ask for a Pokemon related to the Miami heat and will give you his MVP rival in return
The lady in Pacifidlog will offer one of the most powerful Pokemon in exchange for one of the most common Pokemon

Note From Hacker

- No Physical/Special split. Sorry.
- Once Surf is obtained, the intended order of progression is Route 105 through 109 (plus Route 115, New Mauville, and Abandoned Ship) -> Route 118 through 123 (including Weather Institute) -> Fortree Gym -> Mt. Pyre -> Lilycove Rival and Magma Hideout. I know this may not be the progression that most people do, but this is what I usually did.
- Name for the hack is not 100% certain, so don't be too surprised if I change it.
- Some moves have been edited to their power/accuracy in future generations. However, I'm stupid and forgot to record them so I don't know all of them. I know Outrage, Leaf Blade, and Giga Drain were edited. I don't know if that's all I changed or if I changed more. Sorry.
- There are some Pokemon whose RSE sprites I think are just awful in comparison to their FRLG sprites. They have been updated with their FRLG counterparts.
- There will be a few added NPCs who will sell TMs. As of right now, the only one is found in the Abandoned Ship and he just sells the original Gym Leader TMs that were not replaced in the game. Furthermore, evolutionary stones are purchasable in a new area and I will add someone who sells Heart Scales right before the Elite Four.
- Many new Pokemon get notable egg/ tutor moves via Heart Scale now.

Hey guys today I'm bringing you another awesome mini hack made by me! Yay, fans applauding and cheering. Anyways, this is technically done, but the ending is super bugged out and doesnt work. But hopefully none of you guys will be able to even get to the ending until I release the fix in the next day or so.

STORY

One fateful Christmas night, a Wooper was getting ready for Santa's arrival. As Santa was leaving his trustworthy Delibrid was kidnapped by a man dressed all in black! Now its up to you to save him! Play as the legendary Wooper who saved Christmas during the times of the Pokemon war!
Setting: Kanto Years before Ash set out on his journey.

FEATURES

This is a nuzlocke hack! This hack is super difficult about half way through, and features many nuzlocke rules that originally ran off an honor system. Portable healing stations. Yes thats right. But these are spendy and only work once!
Very few trainers. So that means short money supply and no annoying trainer battles.
Increased wild pokemon encounters. A high level Pokemon on each map. So be careful, not everyone is quite as nice as you.
A rare weak level Pokemon on each map.
A naughty/nice system that is based off of choices.(they are listed before you make the choice)
2 endings. Now you may have seen this with my previous mini hack, but this time these endings are 1000000% and no need to run off and find 5 hidden items.
Your Pokemon are deleted after they faint! Yay! Death!
Lots of hidden items and money to make up for lack of trainers
Also there will eventually be a post story if I get the time!

After a white out you appear in front of the pokecenter instead of inside it. Young couple will see you even if you only have one pokemon but they wont battle you.

Young couple boy will take an extra step if you walk right in front of the girl. Cant refight Dialga at time's Peak. So until its fixed save once you get to the peak!!!
